Saad gambles with Farid and loses all his property. He also forces his only daughter Malika marry Farid despite her engagement to her cousin Mukhtar. Farid asks Malika to take birth control pills and threatens her with divorce if she speaks about Mukhtar.
Farid does not register the marriage contract with the municipality for fear that his wife, Aziza, will find out. Fayrouz suffers from infertility and asks her husband for a divorce. As Malika discovers that she is pregnant, she turns to her father to save her from Farid’s death threat.
Farid and Zain forge currency and agree with Jamal to counterfeit a large amount of euros. Farid discovers that Malika is pregnant. During her escape, she falls down the stairs and Farid is accused of trying to abort her baby. Zain seeks to find a solution for his friend to be released.
Aziza visits her husband and informs him of her knowledge of his marriage. She then searches for Malika in the hospital and the house where she lives, after which her neighbor Warda tries to smuggle her out.
Malika manages to escape and hide in her aunt's house, while Aziza searches for her everywhere, and Farid waits for Malika to drop the case so he can be released from prison.
Warda returns Malika's gold to Saad so that her husband will not seize it. Malika gives birth to a son, to the joy of her aunt and Mukhtar, and Farid refuses to divorce her while he is in prison.
As Malika runs away from her aunt's house because of Mukhtar's mistreatment of her, she gets lost in the street. Aziza visits Farid in prison with his two sons to make them see him in this condition. Saad promises Zain that he will find Malika and deliver her to him in exchange for money.
Farid comes out of prison and searches for Malika and his son, while Malika goes to work at the house of Zain and Fayrouz, who do not know her identity. Warda kills her husband following a quarrel between them.
As Zain discovers the truth about Malika, he promises to protect her and her child from Farid and Aziza. Warda is arrested, and Aziza sets a trap for Farid and his mother in order to humiliate them.
Zain pays for an operation for Samir, Malika's son, and Fayrouz lets Malika return to work at her home. The police arrest a currency counterfeiting gang without reaching Jamal, and they question Saad because some counterfeit money was found on him.
Fayrouz dies after she asks Malika not to deprive Zain of seeing and caring for Samir, while Aziza is very sad because she did not reconcile with her sister before her death, and Malika's aunt also dies.
Malika marries Zain, becomes pregnant, and dies while giving birth to a baby girl. After Aziza accuses Farid of stealing her gold and beating her, he is sentenced to five years in prison, while Khalil flees for fear that Farid will discover that he was the one who planned with Aziza to get rid of him.
Farid comes out of prison after serving twenty-five years for being accused of killing Jamal, in addition to stealing Aziza's gold. He finds that his two sons have become young men working with Zain. Hind grows older, and Zain changes Samir's name to Fares.
Zain dies after an accident amidst his family's grief, while Farid goes to pay his respects and is surprised to see Hind, who is a spitting image of Malika.
Fouad asks for Hind's hand in marriage, and she agrees, while her brother Fares does not like it. Mahdi wants to marry the secretary Assia, but his mother refuses.
Khalil returns from Italy and agrees with Fares to take revenge on Farid and his two sons. Fares refuses his sister's marriage and her staying in another house.
Mahdi quarrels with Fares' men. Farid discovers Fares and Aziza's work in smuggling gold, so he asks Fares to let him in on it. Khalil moves forward in his plan to take revenge on Farid. Hind discovers that her father registered all his properties in Fares' name.
Farid's men beat Hamza, Khalil's informant, trying to find out where the latter is. Aziza asks Farid to stay away from the deals she is making.
Farid and Fares agree to work together in distributing counterfeit currency. Hamza works for Farid without Khalil's knowledge. Aziza is angry because she is forced by Farid to agree to Assia and Mahdi's engagement in exchange for relinquishing the money she owes him.
Farid appoints Hind as director of the institution he co-owns with Aziza, to the dismay of the latter and Fares. Hind ends her relationship with Fouad, and Reda is happy with the news and tries to get closer to her.
As Mahdi marries Assia amid a family celebration, he accidentally stabs Reda during his quarrel with Fiston.
Reda dies as a result of being stabbed by Mahdi, while the latter turns himself in to the police, who question him about his relationship with Fiston, who manages to escape. Hind discovers that her father and Fares’ company works in smuggling.
Farid forces Khalil to tell the truth. The latter confesses that Zain was the one who reported him to the police for killing Jamal, and that Fares is his son Samir. Farid meets Fares after they learn the truth, and Fares is killed by a sniper and dies in his father's arms.
