Following the sudden disappearance of her husband, Laila asks his friend Mahmoud to help her find him, and files a report about his disappearance. Then she finds a letter from her husband asking her not to search for him and to forget about him.
Laila tells Mahmoud of her husband's letter that he left behind, and asks him to accompany her to her husband's village to search for his family. Laila's father asks his daughter to leave her apartment and live with him so that she can support her children.
Laila asks Yasser to open her husband's workshop and work in it. As Laila discovers that she is pregnant. she decides to terminate her pregnancy, and seeks to return to working in law with her former colleague Sawsan.
Yasser quarrels with his wife Faten for helping Laila with the abortion. Laila is forced to keep her pregnancy, and when she gives birth, she fails to register the baby in government records because the father is not present. Laila discovers that her husband was impersonating the deceased Ahmed.
As Laila is convicted of forgery, the person called Ahmed's parentage of her son is rejected. It turns out that Mahmoud knows the whereabouts of her husband, who is named Akram. Mahmoud's wife, Tahani, decides to help Laila.
Sawsan advises Laila to hide so that she is not arrested after the forgery ruling was issued against her, but Yasser reveals her whereabouts. It's revealed that Akram is married to another woman in Cairo and has children with her.
Mahmoud asks Sawsan to help Laila get out of jail. Faten suspects that Yasser and her sister are having an affair. Meanwhile, Akram asks some people to testify that a person named Ahmed actually married Laila.
Mahmoud quarrels with his wife and divorces her. The latter tells Laila that Mahmoud knows a man named Akram and that he is her husband. Ahmed’s brother continues to prove that Laila’s children are not related to his brother.
Akram evades Laila, who discovers Sawsan's attempt to get close to Mahmoud. Akram's first wife, Berihan, travels to Port Said to search for the secret that Akram is hiding, and the latter burns Mahmoud's shop to take revenge on him.
Akram decides to compensate Mahmoud for burning his shop, but the latter decides to take revenge on him and tells Laila everything about him and his escape from a prison sentence. Akram discovers that Berihan has traveled to Port Said.
Mahmoud and Laila travel to Cairo to search for Akram, who kidnaps her and promises to solve the problem. It's revealed that Yasser has agreed to convey all of Laila’s news to Akram. Laila threatens Sawsan with exposing her corruption and tampering with the cases if she does not stay away from her.
Akram tries to communicate with his two children. Faten discovers that Yasser is hiding money in the house. After Laila tells Berihan what Akram did to her, Akram tries to gain Berihan's sympathy and fakes a suicide attempt.
After Berihan takes Akram to the hospital to save him, the latter forcefully takes his two children, and he plots with Khaled to file a report against Laila for robbing the villa, but Faten forces Khaled to drop the report. Faten faints after a quarrel with Yasser.
Faten is taken to the hospital and falls into a coma. Laila files a report against Yasser, who fled with the money. Berihan decides to leave Akram. Walid discovers where Laila’s children are. Sawsan gets closer to Mahmoud. A flashback reveals that Akram caused the killing of his father and uncle.
Walid tells Mahmoud and Laila of the whereabouts of her children, but Akram goes there first and takes them, then bargains with her to return them to her in exchange for staying away from Berihan and Walid. Iyad offers Laila a job with him in the law firm.
Laila gets a message asking her to stay away from Walid in order to get her children back. Sawsan continues to get close to Mahmoud to make him get a bank loan to establish a project. Walid discovers that Sherine has deceived him. Berihan quarrels with Akram over his kidnapping Laila's children.
Laila gets to her children and takes them with her after Akram escapes. The latter threatens Walid with a video of breaking into his office and with reporting him to the police. Faten agrees to return to Yasser on the condition that he must give her half of his money.
Eisha stabs Laila with a knife while escaping from Walid. Mahmoud sets up a factory in partnership with Sawsan. Berihan asks for a divorce from Akram and decides to cancel his general power of attorney, while the police find Eisha murdered.
Laila gets close to Walid, who gains access to papers that incriminate Akram for forging his identity papers. Berihan attempts suicide under the influence of the drugs that Akram puts in her food.
Akram takes Berihan to a psychiatric hospital and saves her. The police arrest Akram on charges of money laundering. Shaaban tries to steal Akram's real identity papers from the villa, while Laila vows to take revenge on the latter.
At the courtroom, Akram accuses Laila of forgery and claiming that her children are his, while Walid tries to get Berihan out of the psychiatric hospital.
Ahmed's brother files a report against Laila for her seizure of his apartment. Akram tries to convince Iyad to implicate Laila in a case of bank checks. Laila agrees with Walid to take care of Berihan after her release from the hospital.
As Berihan regains her health, Faten is forced to tell Yasser that Berihan is staying at Laila's house so that she can end her problems with him. Iyad deceives Akram and obtains the money. It turns out that Sawsan incited a group of people to file poisoning reports against Mahmoud's factory.
As Mahmoud discovers that Sawsan is pregnant, he thinks about marrying Laila, who files a lawsuit to prove the lineage of her two kids to Akram, while her father dies.
Faten apologizes to Yasser and asks him to forgive her for her relationship with Tariq. Laila succeeds in accusing Akram of currency trading. The latter shoots and kills Badawi, then kidnaps Laila, and Walid seeks to save her.
Laila takes revenge on Akram in her own way, and seeks to find evidence to exonerate Walid after Akram framed him for killing Badawi. It's revealed that Sawsan plotted with her ex-husband, Issam, to falsely claim that she is pregnant in order to seize Mahmoud’s money.
Laila proves Walid's innocence, while Faten tells her that Yasser is spying on her. Sawsan discovers that she is actually pregnant, so she seeks to have an abortion. Issam tells Mahmoud that Sawsan has seized his factory.
Akram tries to flee the country with Sherine. Walid plots with Laila to falsely claim that they are married in order to find out Akram's whereabouts. Faten is surprised that Yasser's mother is alive.
As Yasser holds his mother responsible for everything that happened to him, Faten quarrels with him, and he expels her from the house. With Laila refusing to help her sister take revenge on Yasser, Faten turns things around and plots with Akram against Laila. Mahmoud expels Sawsan from the factory.
Faten confesses to Laila that she agreed with Akram to hand over her son to him. Akram plans with Shaaban to get rid of Sherine. As the police arrest Akram, Laila reveals that he killed his uncle and Badawi and his involvement in the forgery case. Walid asks Laila to marry him.
