The work follows the adventures of Dan Kouzo and his friends, the first boy on Earth to become close to mysterious creatures called Bakugan.
The heroes deal with a world where the Bakugan are more common, which results in public scrutiny and brings about a general hate for the Bakugan planned by Philomena and AAAnimus.

Several months after they defeat Haavik, the heroes return to their regular lives, and the Bakugan go into hibernation, but Dan finds himself in a new battle, and Drago appears out of nowhere, turning the balance of power.
In season 4, Drago returns to Earth, and he and Dan set off to confront a strange energy wave coming from Vestroia, and they decide to put an end to its threat.
Dan and Athena go to Vestroia after discovering a weak link between Earth and Vestroia. They soon discover that a group of small Bakugan known as The Swarm is planning to absorb Earth's energy. Faced with this danger, the AB set out to confront them.
