A large family lives in a large palace, but the General Antiquities Directorate tries to buy the house for the purpose of converting it into a museum. The family members disagree, with some supporting the idea and some opposing it. Meanwhile, their youngest son, Wahid, tries to become independent and marry his sweetheart, Wafaa, despite everyone’s opposition.
