In the village of Ain El-Deeb, the two brothers Shafiq and Melhem attend Christmas celebrations. Shafiq looks forward to telling Laila that he loves her. Melhem, who loves photography, takes care of Shafiq. While Shafiq dreams of things he desires, fate opposes him and stands in the way of his wishes.
