The two children Melhem and Shafiq celebrate Christmas Eve with their family. Shafiq writes a letter to his neighbor, Laila, in which he confesses his love for her. Melhem finds the letter and reveals his brother’s secret to everyone.

Years pass, and before midnight, Melhem and Shafiq celebrate Christmas Eve with their family. As Shafiq and Laila spend a good time, he suggests that she should learn to play music, and the grandfather tells the story of “Ain El-Deeb” to Melhem.

Melhem and Shafiq become young men in their prime, and before midnight on Christmas Eve, everyone gathers for dinner, but a quarrel occurs in the neighborhood, and Melhem prevents his brother Shafiq from getting involved, but things escalate due to the civil war in Lebanon.

Melhem gets married and has a little girl named Lama. He tries to convince his wife not to separate from him so that their child, who waits on Christmas Eve for Santa Claus to ask him for her mother to return home, will not be affected.

On Christmas Eve, Melhem is surprised by Laila’s visit to him, and she meets his daughter Lama, who has become a young woman. Melhem tells Laila about Shafiq’s marriage and that he has a daughter. They meet after all these years and spend Christmas together.
