Hassan becomes upset with his wife Mona's constant complaining about his poor financial situation. Umm Ghassan (Ghassan's mother) falls ill and dies. Umm Fouad tries to persuade her son to leave his fiancée Rola and marry his cousin Lina.
Hassan continues to search for a new job that meets his living needs. Rola resents Umm Fouad’s control over her son. Sama asks Ghassan to propose to her. Nabih quarrels with his wife for her negligence in the children's upbringing.
Ghassan gets a job after he graduates, and goes to Sama's parents to ask for her hand in marriage, but he is surprised by their excessive demands. Mona continues to turn Hassan's life into hell at the instigation of her mother.
Nabih refuses his wife Maha's return to work as a lawyer so she can take care of the house. Mona asks Hassan to look for a house so they can be independent from his family. Ghassan gets to know Rola and is attracted to her.
Mona quarrels with Hassan because of his mother, while things get worse between Fouad and his mother and she tries to come between him and Rola. Ghassan tries to convince his father to marry after his mother’s death.
Mona causes problems with her mother-in-law and leaves the house, while her mother incites her to file for divorce. Nabih and Maha continue to disagree about her work as a lawyer. Fouad tries to reconcile his mother and his fiancée, Rola.
Mona files for divorce from Hassan. Maha is upset about her failure in her work. Rola is angry that Fouad is traveling with his cousin Lina.
Fouad tries to patch things up with Rola. Maha discovers that Nabih deceived her and dragged her into a losing case so that she would quit being a lawyer.
In order to please Rola, Fouad asks her father to let them go through with their marriage without his family’s knowledge. Ghassan meets Rola, who claims that her name is Rahaf. Hassan buys a new house for his wife.
Umm Lina succeeds in coming between Fouad and Rola by telling him that Rola is in a relationship with Ghassan. Mona returns to Hassan in their new home.
Umm Mona continues to incite her daughter against her husband. Ghassan succeeds in reconciling Rola and Fouad, while the latter's mother is forced to agree to his marriage and to his living in a separate house.
