Abu Ibrahim (Ibrahim's father) lives a stable life with his kids, and his daughter Awatif falls in love with her neighbor Saad. Wadha arrives in the neighborhood and asks the people for help with her miserable and poor situation. Abu Ibrahim volunteers to let her and her two daughters stay in a house he owns.
Wadha seeks work in the market, meets Umm Jazza (Jazza's mother), and asks her for help. Wadha's daughters' become jealous of Aziza and Awatif because of their social status. Umm Saad asks for Awatif's hand for her son, but Umm Ibrahim refuses because her daughter has not completed her studies yet.
Wadha succeeds in gaining the trust of her neighbors by helping them. Her sons, Dhari and Moataeb, return from their trip, and a religious group tries to recruit Saad to their ranks.
Everyone gets ready to attend Hasina's daughter's wedding. Wadha quarrels with her neighbor, Umm Jadaan, who mocks her and her daughters. Wadha asks Abu Ibrahim to help her move to another house away from the neighborhood's problems.
Awatif's mother discovers her daughter's relationship with Saad and locks her in the house. Al Jazzy decides to tell Saad that he must formally propose to Awatif. When Abu Ibrahim asks about him in the neighborhood, he discovers that he has joined a religious extremist group.
Abu Ibrahim refuses his daughter Awatif's marriage to Saad, so the latter decides to stay away from the neighborhood for a while, and his mother gets him engaged to Al Jazzy. The police arrest Dhari and accuse him of theft, and Rashid proposes to Awatif.
Awatif's heart breaks when she learns that Saad has married her friend, Al Jazzy. Aziza is shocked to lose her love as well when she learns that Issa is in a relationship with another woman. Meanwhile, Saad treats his wife harshly and cruelly.
Aziza resents Saad's harsh treatment of Al Jazzy. Dhari tries to find the thief who stole his father's watch, and Aziza suffers from an eye disease that causes her to lose her sight.
Dhari discovers that Atwa is the one who stole the watch. Aziza is taken with Dr. Ahmed, who reads her journal. Moataeb quarrels with Saad because the latter beat the pregnant Al Jazzy. Saad then joins the terrorist camp and devotes himself to jihad.
Saad returns to the neighborhood after training in fighting. Al Jazzy agrees to return to him, but the police arrest him. Aziza convinces her parents to let her study medicine.
Al Jazzy gives birth to her baby girl in the hospital, while Saad is in prison. Dhari and Moataeb open a store selling music cassette tapes. Dhari quarrels with Riyad when he learns of his relationship with his sister Mazna and rejects his marriage proposal to her.
Mazna threatens to commit suicide if Moataeb forces her to marry someone other than Riyad. Aziza discovers that Ahmed is her teacher's brother. Because of Al Jazzy's jealousy and suspicion, she tells Rashid about his wife Awatif's bad reputation.
Rashid quarrels with Awatif in the street, and Awatif discovers that Al Jazzy is behind what happened. Atwa falls in love with Moataeb, while his brother Dhari loves her. Mazna agrees to run away with Riyad.
Wadha is forced to agree to Riyad's marriage to Mazna to save them both from the hands of the Islamic group. Wadha forces her daughter Al Jazzy to fix things between Awatif and Rashid, who apologizes to his wife. Ahmed's relationship with Aziza grows stronger, and he confesses his admiration for her.
Aziza succeeds in high school and celebrates her success with Ahmed and his sister, while Mazna is surprised by her mother's visit, and she asks her to forgive her for what she did.
Abu Ibrahim grows suspicious of his daughter Aziza when he meets her at the hospital and she tries to justify her presence there. Abu Fahd asks Aziza to marry him and Abu Ibrahim agrees. Saad and the group's men set fire to Dhari's store for selling music tapes.
Dhari tells his brother, Moataeb, that he wants to marry Atwa. Abu Ibrahim tells his daughter, Aziza, that Abu Fahd wants to marry her. Aziza then asks to travel with Ahmed to Egypt. Mazna visits her brothers, Moataeb and Dhari, to check on them after the shop fire.
After Aziza meets Ahmed and tries to convince him to run away, she decides to agree to marry Abu Fahd. Meanwhile, Awatif and Al Jazzy share their pain over their husbands, and Moataeb is forced to hide his love for Atwa after Dhari decides to marry her.
Ahmed's sister accuses him of abandoning Aziza. Al Jazzy suspects that Saad was behind the burning of her brother's shop. Atwa decides to postpone her marriage to Dhari until Umm Jazza recovers. Aziza marries Abu Fahd.
Umm Jazza dies, and Aziza flees Abu Fahd's house with her passport to ask Ahmed to escape with her to Egypt, but he shocks her. Saad is killed during a dangerous mission to attack the Haram with the terrorist group.
After her divorce from Abu Fahd, Aziza enrolls in university. Dhari tries to convince Atwa to go through with their marriage. Rashid tells Awatif that he has decided to marry another woman. The extremists continue to impose their control and laws on the residents.
Abu Ibrahim returns home with an unknown woman and warns his family not to approach her room. However, Aziza discovers that he is a man. Meanwhile, Umm Saad experiences severe psychological distress following the death of her son. Awatif seeks help from her parents and asks for a divorce from Rashid.
The police search for those involved in the Haram incident, and Aziza tries to help the injured man at her father's house. Dhari remains distressed because of his love for Atwa.
Awatif tries to comfort her father because of what happened to him. Aziza continues to treat the wounded man at their home, and Rashid divorces Awatif after causing her to miscarry.
Abu Fahd mocks the divorce of Abu Ibrahim's second daughter. Aziza helps the wounded man recover. After her divorce, Awatif refuses to return to her father's house, and Rashid assaults Fawaz, who is taken to the hospital.
Abu Ibrahim tries to fix things with Abu Fahd, and Moataeb teaches the latter a lesson he will never forget because of his arrogance. Aziza discovers that the wounded man is Mansour, the son of Umm Jazza.
After Dhari plans with Warda to make Atwa jealous, Atwa falls ill and her condition deteriorates. Wadha's shop is vandalized, and the police continue their search for Mansour, suspecting that Wadha and Abu Ibrahim are hiding him.
Abu Ibrahim quarrels with his son Fawaz and Aziza because of her entering the room of the wounded Mansour, and he prevents her from going to university. A quarrel breaks out between Wadha and the market traders, and Al Jazzy tries to fix things between Abu Fahd and her brother Moataeb.
Aziza causes a fire in the house so that Mansour can escape. Abu Fahd decides to propose to Al Jazzy. A quarrel breaks out between Awatif and her aunt Umm Rashid because of Moataeb, who proposes to Awatif, but Abu Ibrahim refuses. Mansour convinces Aziza to run away with him.
Due to a quarrel between Rashid and Dhari, Abu Rashid provides information about the person Abu Ibrahim is hiding in his house. On the night of Moataeb and Awatif's wedding, Rashid tries to kill Moataeb but injures Awatif, and Aziza runs away with Mansour.
