Shams Al-Din dies, and his son Suleiman takes charge of being the clan chief, which angers Al Samri. Suleiman asks to marry Fathia, Atris’s sister, and the neighborhood’s elders plan with the clan chief, Fattouh, to get rid of Suleiman.
Fattouh and his men attack the neighborhood, but Suleiman confronts them, and the latter falls for Saniya, Al Samri's daughter.
Suleiman asks Al Samri for his daughter Saniya's hand in marriage. The wedding takes place, and Fathia gets angry and leaves her husband's house.
Saniya asks Suleiman to quit his job as a coachman and gives birth to two sons, whom he calls Bakr and Khadr. Fathia feels jealous because she gave birth to girls.
Suleiman moves to Al Samri's new palace to live there with Saniya. The residents complain about Suleiman not caring about their conditions in the neighborhood. Suleiman’s children grow up, and Saniya decides to open a project for them with her money.
Saniya asks for Radwana's hand in marriage for her son Bakr, but his brother Khadr likes without anyone knowing. Al Samri tries to convince his daughter Saniya to improve her relationship with Suleiman and not to be condescending towards him.
Radwana is shocked on her wedding night that her groom is Bakr and not Khadr. Saniya proposes to her son Khadr to marry Wafaa, and she objects to Salem marrying Ajamiya, Suleiman’s daughter.
Bakr travels on a business trip, and Radwana takes advantage of his absence and informs Khadr of her love for him, so the latter quarrels with her and seeks to stay away from her.
Radwana ignites the fires of suspicion between the two brothers, Bakr and Khadr, and tells her husband that Khadr is harassing her, so Khadr leaves the house after a quarrel between him and Bakr.
As Khadr is forced to stay at Najla's hotel, he decides to look for work and meets the merchant Younes, while Suleiman falls ill out of grief for Khadr.
Suleiman suffers from a bad psychological condition that prevents him from moving and speaking, so Saeed suggests choosing a clan chief other than Suleiman. Khadr falls in love with Najla, and Radwana gives birth to her first child.
Radwana incites Bakr to take over the management of all his father’s properties, and Saniya neglects taking care of Suleiman, so the latter decides to return to his first wife, Fathia, and divorce Saniya.
Al Samri tries to reconcile Suleiman and Saniya. Khadr asks Najla to marry him, but she refuses so as not to leave her father, Younes. A dispute takes place between Saniya and Radwana, and the former asks Bakr to divorce his wife.
Al Samri dies, and Bakr is shocked when he learns that his mother, Saniya, ran away with Al Saqqa and married him. Suleiman dies, and Bakr loses his money in trade.
Salem asks Ajamiya again to marry him. Bakr's property is sold at a public auction, but Khadr pays his debts and reopens the agency. Bakr tries to kill Radwana because he suspects her infidelity.
Radwana asks for a divorce after Bakr runs away, and her brother Ibrahim kills her. Atris presents himself as a candidate for clan chief. Al Saqqa divorces Saniya, and Khadr takes care of his brother's children until he returns.
