An Irish captain, Michael Fury, is arrested for his political views and sent to a vast penal colony in the Australian Outback. There, he and several other prisoners work as indentured laborers for a thieving governor. When he uncovers the governor's plot to evict settlers from their land, he and a group of fellow escapees organize a rebellion against him.
