Youssef and his family try to help the displaced people from the heart of Syria to the village because of the bombing, and he is also trying to open the school, where he works so that they can live there until things improve.

The military patrol tries to evacuate the school of its residents, to no avail. Youssef and his family continue to assist. Marwan, the fiancé of Youssef’s daughter Mariam, tries to convince her to leave the country and travel with him, but she refuses.

An old woman dies from the bitter cold and is buried. Marwan tries to convince Youssef about his and Mariam’s travel, but he evades him. As Youssef hosts a woman with her baby boy in his home, he tries to impose order in the school between the students and the displaced.

Adnan, Rama's brother, goes looking for her at Youssef's house, and Mariam agrees to marry Marwan and travel with him. Youssef goes with Faraj to Rama's father to ask for Rama's hand in marriage, but her father refuses because Faraj's mother killed his father.

Adnan and a group of men attack the houses of both Youssef and Faraj. As a fire breaks out in the school, Youssef tries to save a child but is injured.

Youssef returns home in a wheelchair and Mariam and Majd collapse. The displaced families are enraged after what happened at the school, angering the authorities after the matter spreads on social media.

As he returns to visit Youssef after learning what has happened to him, Faraj goes to Rama's family carrying his shroud. Mariam refuses to travel with Marwan.

Abu Adnan agrees to let Faraj and Rama return to the village. Mariam breaks up with Marwan because she refuses to travel with him. Youssef returns to school in a wheelchair. Imad, Rania’s manager, tries to woo her.

Marwan travels before Mariam sees him. The authorities organize a party at school to honor Youssef for his efforts, while Faraj helps him with his illness. Rania reprimands Imad for texting her late at night.

Zaid, one of the displaced people, comes to the village in a bad condition; Youssef quarrels with his son Majd; Faraj's new job exposes him to many dangers; Marwan returns to Mariam.

Rania collapses due to the pressures at home. Faraj is found and taken to the hospital after participating in a smuggling operation. Rama's father demands that she divorce Faraj to forgive her. Solaf tries to reach Muhannad but to no avail.

Youssef becomes angry after his position's powers are reduced due to his health condition. Rama asks Faraj for a divorce. Youssef withdraws a large sum of money to help Faraj, which causes a quarrel between him and Rania. Majd flirts with Solaf.

Rania continues to suffer from work on one hand and from Youssef and his disability on the other. Mariam asks Majd to stay away from Solaf after he keeps visiting her. Faraj continues his smuggling work and quarrels begin between his mother and Rama.

Following his arrest for his suspicious smuggling activities, Rama leaves Faraj's house after learning that he had mortgaged it for money. Youssef's health deteriorates, and Faraj pays bail to get out of jail.

Rama returns with Faraj and leaves her parents' home. Marwan and Mariam try to find a home for themselves to get married in. A village near the school is bombed, forcing many to flee. Youssef asks his family to flee, however, he insists on staying.

As the bombing intensifies in the area, vendors hide food supplies to double their prices. Mariam goes to see Marwan while Rania searches for her.

Faraj kills someone during an exchange of fire between the forces and the residents. Mariam becomes involved in a relationship with Marwan during a moment of weakness. Rania asks Youssef to escape the village.

Faraj tells Youssef what has happened and how they forced him to kill to protect his family. Youssef returns to teaching and working at the school, holding free courses. Faraj quarrels with one of the villagers.

Imad tries to convince Rania to join him in his illegal activities in the neighborhood. Faraj's influence in his suspicious activities increases. Mariam and Marwan decide to get married and travel, and Majd continues to court Solaf.

Mariam and Marwan start their marriage arrangements. Mariam asks Solaf to stay away from Majd, who quarrels with Marwan after finding out. Faraj is forced to continue his smuggling work.

After he is arrested during a riot, Marwan flees, and is unable to complete the marriage due to a court ruling against him. He is forced to go to Lebanon and marry Mariam there. Youssef suspects that Imad is flirting with Rania, so he asks Faraj to threaten Imad to stay away from her.

Rania confronts Youssef about what he did regarding the letter and reprimands him for doubting her. Faraj saves Marwan and Khaldoun from compulsory military service. Imad confronts Rania about the threats he received to stay away from her.

Rania reprimands Youssef for what he did and for asking Faraj to scare Imad. Faraj brings Youssef a wheelchair as a gift, so Youssef throws him out of the house. Youssef sells the land he owns and gives the money to Mariam. Faraj helps Marwan, Solaf, Adnan, and Khalil escape from the village.

Faraj scolds Adnan for transporting a large number of young men in the smuggling vehicle, which puts them at risk from the police. Mariam tries to contact Marwan to tell him about her pregnancy, and a big fight breaks out between the residents and Faraj.

The villagers quarrel with Faraj after the power outage, despite him taking a lot of money for providing electricity. Mariam is forced to choose between having an abortion or leaving the village. Imad threatens Rania to work with him in his suspicious activities or resign.

Mariam faints after taking abortion pills, and Rama and Faraj take her to the hospital. Rama becomes jealous of Faraj's excessive attention to Mariam. The doctors save Mariam and the baby. Majd hears rumors in the village about Solaf getting pregnant by Faraj.

Faraj asks Youssef for Mariam's hand in marriage to protect her from scandal. Faraj and Rama's relationship becomes tense. Youssef asks Zuhair to help him find extra work. Mariam and Solaf's attempt to escape fails, forcing Mariam to tell her father that she agrees to marry Faraj.

Everyone is shocked when Mariam agrees to marry Faraj. Mariam tells Rania that she is pregnant with Marwan's baby. Youssef is jealous of Khalil, Rania's co-worker, and Faraj and Mariam get married.

Rama leaves the house after confronting Mariam and Faraj about what has happened and decides that she wants a divorce. Youssef leaves the house, and everyone searches for him in vain.

Majd and a group of young men are arrested while selling drugs. Majd is released from prison and kills Faraj. Youssef confesses to killing Faraj to protect Majd and is sentenced to prison. It is revealed that Marwan died while escaping from military service. Years later, Youssef is released from prison.
