The events depict the well-known story of Raya and Sakina from a different perspective and in two different time periods, as they are acquitted of everything they have been accused of, namely kidnapping and killing women in order to steal their belongings. They are rather portrayed as patriots working with the national resistance against the British occupation in Egypt.
