The merchant Suleiman assigns Captain Omar to transport boxes of gold in complete secrecy to Marjan Island. During the trip, Omar discovers with his assistant Rashid that the boy Bunduq has infiltrated the ship with an ornate dagger and wants to become a sailor. After pirates seize their ship and throw them into the sea, they try to survive, find the pirates, and recover the boxes of gold.
