Lurlene is best friends with Blondie. Blondie joins Lurlene when she stars in a major Broadway musical. But when Larry Belmont, Lurlene's boyfriend, develops feelings for the blonde newcomer, their friendship swiftly deteriorates. Despite her attraction to him, Blondie turns him down because of her loyalty to her friend.
