The story of four generations of one family: the grandfather, the father, then the children, as physical disabilities are passed down among them. When the father finally has a healthy child, he sees this not as a blessing, but as an opportunity for profit, as he decides to amputate his own arm to push him into begging, thinking this is the only way to guarantee a stable source of income.
