After a strong storm washes them overboard while sailing, young boy and his dog land on a desolate island. He is astonished to find a strange Japanese man who's remained on the island since World War II, thinking he's alone. Once skeptical of each other, the child and old man must work together when invaders threaten their precious sanctuary.
