Osman Mohamed Ali is an actor from Alexandria who became famous for his secondary roles in a number of films, as well as his appearance on several TV serials and radio sketches. He began his career at the Faculty of Mass Communications as an advisor that corrected language and pronunciation in front of the camera. Afterwards, he worked at the Bank of Alexandria. He began his artistic career with a number of radio sketches on Alexandria radio. He participated in the first radio program “Hub We Ilham” (Love and Inspiration) in 1954, and following that, other radio skits including “Lil Hub Rai Akher” (For Love, Another Opinion), “Mohager Ila Al-Samt” (Emigrant to Silence), “El-Finan Wel Wahm” (The Artist and The Illusion). He was also in a number of TV serials, including “Refaat El Heggan,” “Amen El Dawla” (State Security), “Hara El Mahroosa,” “Len Ayesh Fe Galabab Abi” (I Won’t Live My Father’s Life), “Abna’i El-A’za’ Shukran” (Thank You, My Dears), “A’ela El Hagg Metawli” (The Family of Hagg Metawli), “El Imam El Shafi’i,” and “Afrah Iblees” (The Joys of The Devil). His films include “Dunia” (World), “Shagea’ El Sima” (The Brave of Cinema), “Shabakat El Mout” (The Network of Death), “Thamen El Ghorba” (The Price of Alienation/Exile), “Aqwa El Rigal” (The Strongest Men), “Amin El Dawla” (State Security), and other highly influential films in Egyptian cinema. |
