An Egyptian singer, born in 1922. His talent was obvious since an early age. He joined the Arab Music Institute to study singing and playing the lute for two years, and then sang in a number of radio channels and night clubs. He then went on to appear in musical numbers in films, including 4 Girls and an Officer, Children of the Poor and The Black Knight. He died in 1988.
