He worked in cinema since the mid-eighties with his father, director Abdelkader El Telmissany, as an assistant director and production assistant. He started as a grip, then worked in still photography. He took part in Citizen Masrey, Days of Sadat and El Halal Mountain. He also published three novels. He died on September 4, 2018 in a car crash in South Sinai at the age of 52.
