Toqa Hesham |
Writer and journalist Samir Sarhan was born in January 1942. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University in 1961, and received his doctorate from Indiana University in the United States in 1968. He worked as a professor of English literature in Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, until he was appointed head of the English Department. He got hired as a lecturer at the Institute of Theatrical Arts, then undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture in 1980 until 1982. He has many literary works, and was awarded the State Appreciation Award in Literature for all his literary works.
