Ahmed Shawqi is an Egyptian actor. He was born in Beni Suef in 1928. He studied acting at the high Institute of Acting, and co-starred in numerous plays, including “Zuqaq Al Midaq” (Al Midaq Alley), “Elnas Elli Taht” (The People Beneath), “Meraty Nemra 11” (My 11th Wife) and “Al Mighnatis” (The Magnet). He was msot known for his small roles on film and television. Among the films he appeared in are “Al Khataya” (The Sins), “Ehna El Talamza” (We are the Students) and “Antara Ibn Shaddad”. He also appeared in the televisions eries “Muhammad Rasul Allah” (Muhammad, God's Prophet), “Asabia' Alzaman” (The Fingers of Time) and “Al Shaytan wal Hob” (The Devil and Love). He died of heart failure during the production of “Al Shaytan wal Hob” in 1984.
