An Egyptian writer and novelist who initially worked as a translator in the government and the Arab News Agency. Afterwards, he began writing for radio and theater in 1935 and played some roles on stage. He devoted himself to writing film scripts since 1948. He was appointed as a professor of screenplay at the Higher Institute of Cinema and became the head of the script department and head of the Drama Authors Association department. He is known for Cairo 30 (1966), My Wife's Ghost (1968), and The Man Who Lost His Shadow (1968). He passed away on September 25, 1978. |
