He was an Egyptian screenwriter and novelist, born in the city of Kafr El-Zayat in Gharbia in 1929. He has many published literary works that have turned into dramatic and cinematic works, many of which came from Egyptian intelligence files. His most-known novels are Tears in Bold Eyes, Raafat Al-Haggan, and The Excavator. He died in 1996 of a heart attack, at age 67.
