An Egyptian actress and singer, born Shafiqa Mohamed El-Sayed on January 8, 1928 in Cairo. She had her debut in the 1942 film The Noble Man. She presented nearly three hundred songs between emotional, social and patriotic, as she collaborated with renowned composers, including Baleegh Hamdy and Kamal Al Taweel. She became known for Zeinab (1952) and The Confession (1949). She died on the 6th of April 2013. |
