Dalia Saad |
A Tunisian director, born in Tunis on December 15, 1945. She studied psychology in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1966, and also studied cinema at the French Film Institute until 1970, after which she worked as an assistant in Tunisian television. She became the first woman to work in film production in Tunisia in 1990, and in 2006 she received the Film Award on the occasion of the National Day of Culture. After the Tunisian revolution erupted in December 2010, she became a member of the Tunisian National Constituent Assembly and called for the formation of a leftist front capable of confronting the Islamic Ennahda movement in Tunisia. |
