He is an Egyptian actor of Syrian origin, who was born to a Syrian father from Aleppo and an Egyptian mother from Tanta in 1916. He lived his early life in the Jewish quarter in Al-Daher area in Cairo. He graduated from the Lycée in 1932. He formed a singing group with his brother and cousins, and performed on Emad El-Din Street until the artist Beshara Wakim introduced him to the dancer Baba Ezzedine, which allowed him to work in several famous nightclubs in Cairo. Director Hassan El Emam introduced him in the film, Women Are Devils (1947). He appeared in over 20 films until the early 50s, including Lady Anbar (1948), and It's All Yours (1952). He died in 1952, at age 36.
