He worked as a monologist through several theater groups, such as Salama Hijazi and Ali...Read more Al-Kassar, and then the Ramses Troupe, after which he directed his first film, Mr. Bahbah (1935), which he also co-starred in. He's known for Hassan, Marqos, and Koheen (1954), and Al-Shater Hassan (1948). He died of coronary artery blockage, in 1979.
