An Egyptian poet, who was born in the village of Araba Abu El-Dahab in Sohag Governorate in 1916. He memorized the Holy Qur’an, moved to Cairo after obtaining the preparatory certificate, and joined the Saidia School. He worked as an employee in the Egyptian National Railways and was a special delegate for president Gamal Abdel Nasser. He wrote the lyrics for Everybody Is Singing (1947) and Father Amin (1950). He died in 1991 in Alexandria.
