An Egyptian actor, whose career spanned nearly half a century. He was born in Kafr El Sheikh. He studied at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, and obtained a BA in Theatrical Arts in 1955. He began his acting career in some small roles in the fifties, such as The Brunette of Sinai. In the early sixties, he participated in the series The Hunt, and the movies A Man in Our Home is a Man and Three Stories. In the seventies, he worked on the movies Sunset and Sunrise, and Cairo and People, as well as the series The Days. In the eighties, he played the role of the Egyptian intelligence chief in the series Tears in Bold Eyes, and the role of The King in the movie Goodbye, My Friend. At the beginning of the nineties, he participated in the series The Homestead, One Thousand and One Nights, and The Eyes of the Falcon, in addition to the movies The Road to Eilat, and The Terrorist. At the beginning of the millennium, he provided a voice performance in the Arabic version of the American animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire, as well as working on the movies What's Going on?, The Danish Experience, and The Yacoubian Building. His last role was in the series Last Summer (2010). He died in 2011 at the age of 82.
