An Egyptian writer and director, born on July 17, 1950. Among her most famous films as a writer are Women Behind Bars (1986), The Scorpion (1990), and The Bridge (1997). She worked for nearly thirty years as a business manager for actor Omar Sharif and directed his only TV series, Hanan and Haneen (2007). However, she suffered from illness and debts towards the end of her life. She died on March 15, 2014. |
