An Algerian actor, born in Algiers. His career began in 1950 when he joined the Algerian theater. He made his film debut in The Escape of Hassan Al Tairo (1974), then Chronicle of the Years of Fire, the following year. He worked inside and outside Algeria. Among his Egyptian works are The Return of the Prodigal Son (1976) and The Bloody Destiny (1982). He's best known for the series The Player (2004). He died of a heart attack on 5 April 2015.
