An Egyptian poet, whose real name is Mohamed Abdel Moneim. He was born on January 1, 1905, received little education, worked at the Ministry of Agriculture in 1924, and published his poems in the magazine Kol El Dunya under the pen name Abu Bothinya to publish poems attacking the king. He represented Egypt at the Arab Zajal Conference in Lebanon in 1945, and won the first prize. He is also one of the founders of the Egyptian Writers Union in 1970. He published many books, including Abu Bothinya's poems, and The Arab Art of Zajal, and wrote stories, such as Mary Margaret,and The Lover of Her Brother, and also wrote the story of the movie Abu Zayd Al-Hilali, directed by Ezz Eldein Zo El Faqqar. He passed away in 1989.
