Samira Ahmed Ibrahim was born in Assiut. She moved with her family and sister Khayriyah Ahmed to Cairo when she was six years old. Samira began work at a young age and faced difficulties with her family.
Samira Ahmed has worked as a producer on several important film titles which include A Divorcee, and The Innocent. Furthermore, She worked on several television productions which have included Tomorrow the Flowers Will Bloom, in addition to some Lebanese productions. She was married more than once to men active in the creative community, such as Adeeb Gaber and Saffwat Ghattas. She proved particularly adept at portraying disabled female characters such as the blind, the deaf and the mentally deranged. Her intelligence saw her retain a career in acting throughout her life. She has also portrayed women suffering internal dilemmas such as in Should I Murder My Husband?. She has also portrayed the role of the romantic woman in Mother of the Bride, and Escaping from the Days. Among her most distinguished roles was a part in Night and Bars.
