Shaimaa Saied	A Syrian director, writer and actor, born in Homs in 1954. He holds a BA in theater directing from the Academy of Arts in Egypt, then a MA in cinematography from Bologna. He started his artistic career by working as an assistant director in several films in the 80s, including The Ring and the Bracelet and Bus Driver, before he made his directorial debut with the series The Milky Way in 1992.
