Khairy Shalaby is one of the stars of Arabic literature in the field of novel, poetry and literary criticism. He was born on January 31, 1938 in Kafr El-Sheikh. Among the posts he held was editor-in-Chief of Poetry Magazine (Ministry of Culture) and a professor at the Institute of Dramatic Arts (theatrical history).
