An Egyptian poet and writer who was born in the city of Tanta. After completing his primary and secondary education, he joined the Military College. Despite his association with the armed forces, he worked as an editor in Rose El-Youssef magazine. He is considered one of the first poets to write in his military capacity. He has written many poems and songs about the Egyptian army and the revolution, sung by stars such as Umm Kulthum and Abdel Wahab. His writing credits include the films Nawaem and Heroes Road.
