He joined Badee’a Massabny troupe where he was appreciated by the audience as a lute-player and when he started singing there he was admired by Medhat ‘Aassem, the Egyptian radio musical observer who presented him to the radio through his song Wish I Were a Bird that hit success. Farid’s talent started booming as a singer as well as a giant musical composer. Among his everlasting songs are: O! Flower of My Thoughts, Spring and First Whisper.
