An Egyptian actress born on December 13, 1919. She grew up in Azarita, Alexandria. She gained wide fame in the 1940s, after she was discovered by director Ahmed Salem at the age of seventeen and then managed to reach Youssef Wahby, who decided to cast her in his movie The Red Mask. Her credits include My Father Is a Groom and Last Lie. Her death in a plane explosion in 1950 seemed ambiguous, and there were conflicting statements about the truth of what happened. |
