An Egyptian journalist and author, born in Menoufia. He received a diploma in journalism from the American University. He worked in the press for a third of a century 1946-1979, starting with the magazine Al-Baath, which was published by Muhammad Mandour. After the July Revolution, he worked in Al-Shaab and Al-Gomhouria newspapers, then settled in Dar Al-Hilal Press. He worked as a deputy for the Syndicate of Journalists in 1988, and had part in establishing the Journalists' City, and the Arab Journalists' Union. He wrote several books, including: "How They Became Ministers", and "Contemporary Arab Personalities". His works include the novel "The Vandals" which was adapted into a movie in 1967. He died in 1979.
