A lyricist who was born in Cairo, 1920. He lived in Egypt, Russia, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. He obtained a Bachelor of Military Sciences, then he obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Ain Shams University. He received a master's degree in political and economic sciences from Cairo University (1959). He worked as an officer in the armed forces, then took charge of the press in the office of the Minister of Culture and National Guidance (1960), then director general of legal affairs and investigations in the same ministry.
He was a member of a number of institutions, including: The Writers Union, and The Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers. He was also Vice President, then President and Honorary President of the Association of Zajjalin and Songwriters. He has poems published in some periodicals, and also a number of radio works that he presented on the radio since 1946 until his death. Former President Anwar El-Sadat awarded him the Order of the Republic in 1975, and he received the shield of the Al-Zajaleen Association, and his biography was included in the Encyclopedia of Prominent Egyptian Personalities. He wrote the lyrics for the films Apple of My Eyes, and Aziza in 1954.
