Sherif Hamouda is an Egyptian director born on January 6, 1926. He began his professional life at the beginning of the 1950s as an assistant director for the films “Min Gheir Wada’ (Without Farewell) in 1951, “El Les El Sharif” (The Respectable Thief) in 1953, and “Shayateen El G...Read moreo” (Demons of the Air) in 1956. He directed the first of his long, narrative films in 1985 entitled “Tugar El Sumoum” (Traders of Poisons). Hamouda also starred in a number of films, including “Wahiba Malekat Al Ghajar” (Wahiba, the Queen of Al Ghajar) in 1951, “Samraa’ Sinaa’” (The Brown-skinned of Sinai) in 1959, “Hub Ala Shate Miami” (Love on the Banks of Miami) in 1976. He also wrote screenplays for several films: “El Ziyara El Akheera” (The Final Visit) in 1986, “Kheyana” (Betrayal) in 1989, and “Thalatha Sa’aat Harga” (Three Critical Hours).
