An Egyptian cinematographer and writer, born on July 19, 1937. He obtained a diploma from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Department of Photography, in 1963. He worked as an assistant cinematographer upon graduation with Wadeed Serry. His first films were 6 Girls and a Groom (1970), A Woman of Glass (1977), and The Lucky One (1984). In addition, he established his own film production and distribution company in 1970.
