An Egyptian director and filmmaker, who was born in Cairo, on May 20, 1970. He was tutored by international director Youssef Chahine and worked as an assistant director in a number of his most important films, most notably The Immigrant (1994), The Destiny (1997) and Silence...We're Rolling (2001). In his early days, he worked in the field of producing films, documentaries, and ads materials for European television channels. He started in the cinema in the early nineties and worked as an assistant director with directors Daoud Abdel Sayed and Yousry Nasrallah. His films include The Clown and Hide & Seek.
