An Egyptian director, screenwriter, and producer who was born in Cairo in 1953. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in the Directing Department and worked as an assistant director at the beginning of his career. He is the brother of actress, Magda El Khatib and directed many of the films that she produced and acted in. He directed the films The Cursed House and Tahya Azouz's Son. He wrote Station on the Street.
