An Egyptian director, screenwriter, and producer who was born in Cairo in 1953. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Directing Department, and worked as an assistant director at the beginning of his career. He was the brother of actress Magda El Khatib and directed many of the films that she produced and acted in. He directed the films The Cursed House and Tahya Azouz's Son. He co-wrote the film Station on the Street.
