A film director from Iraq, born in Baghdad in 1937. He studied cinema at the Higher Institute of Cinema in the United Kingdom. In 1953, he began producing documentaries for the film production unit of the Iraq Petroleum Company, as a photographer and editor. He worked on the movies The Eye of the Fox in the Desert, and the horror movie The Spell, which was filmed in the city of Mosul in northern Iraq.
