An Egyptian director who he graduated from high school at Fouad I Secondary School in 1932, then traveled to France to study cinema. He started his cinematic career by writing and directing the movie Behind the Curtain (1937). His most notable film was Determination, which is the first realistic movie in the history of Egyptian cinema.
