Add/Update Information: Radwan El Kashef - Director

Radwan El Kashif was born in the Sayeda Zeinab neighborhood on August 6, 1952, and his roots go back to Upper Egypt, Sohag Governorate. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Department of Philosophy from Cairo University in 1978, and then joined the Film Institute. He worked as an assistant director in nearly twenty films with Youssef Chahine, Raafat Al-Mihi and Daoud Abdel Sayed, before making his directorial debut with Why Violets? and Date Wine, which he also co-wrote. He concluded his career with the movie The Magician in 2001, after which he passed away in June 2002.
