Badri Hassoun Farid is an Iraqi artist born in 1927 in the city of Karbala where he attended primary school. He moved to Baghdad to attend Law school and from there he went to study theater drama at the Fine Arts Institute. He started his artistic career working with a folkolore group and then traveled to Chicago and took his masters from Goodman Theater where he also directed “The Royal Street” as his thesis. Getting back home he directed “People's Enemy” in 1967 and others. He traveled to Morocco to teach drama acting in Rabat. He returned to Iraq in 2010. |
