An Egyptian director who was born on June 10, 1952. He obtained a diploma from the Higher Institute of Cinema, directing department in 1977. He worked as a director of television films. At the beginning of his career, he worked as an assistant director for a number of directors in1981, including Samir Seif, Mohamed Abdelaziz, and Mohamed Shebl. He worked for a while in Saudi Arabia as a director for advertising films. He wrote the movie The Gambler and worked as a director in the series Imam Al-Shafi‘i.
